GENERAL INFORMATION: Document Type:Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Number:9AZ2109 Posted Date:October 13, 2009 Original Response Date:October 27, 2009 Current Response Date:October 27, 2009 Archive Date:November 12, 2009 Classification Code:X—Lease or rental of facilities CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service (PBS), Real Estate Acquisition Division, 300 West Congress Street, Tucson, AZ 85701 DESCRIPTION: The General Services Administration (GSA), is interested in leasing approximately 8,280 rentable square feet of contiguous office and related space yielding a minimum of 7,200 ANSI/BOMA office area square feet (previously usable) and a minimum of twenty (20) covered, secured and reserved parking spaces located either immediately adjacent to or beneath the building. Visitor and employee parking must meet at least the minimum code requirements of the local jurisdiction. Only space located above the ground level will be considered for this requirement. TENANT:Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Inspector General (DHS-OIG) LOCATION: Offered properties shall be located within Tucson, AZ defined by the following boundaries: (Northern Boundary) W. Ina Road from N. Thornydale Road to N. Oracle Road; (Eastern Boundary) N. Oracle Road from W. Ina Road to W. River Road; (Southern Boundary) W. River Road from N. Thornydale Road to N. Oracle Road; (Western Boundary) N. Thornydale Road from W. Ina Road to W. River Road. LEASE TERM: The lease will be for ten (10) years, five (5) years firm. REQUIRED: Any offered buildings must be of sound and substantial construction, of a type generally recognized as modern, office space. The space shall be altered to meet the Government’s requirements, shall have a fully serviced rent structure, shall be fully accessible in accordance with ADA standards, and shall conform to applicable Life Safety Performance Level of RP 6 (seismic standards). Offered space must be located above the ground floor and contiguous, and provide a discrete secondary entrance that may be used by OIG. Offered space must not be within a building such that OIG would be collocated in the same building or campus of buildings with any form of local, state or federal law enforcement agencies, public defenders, defense probation or parole agencies, public aid offices, medical facilities or any judicial branch of the Government. Additionally, the building must also not be in the direct line of sight to the main entrance of the facility from an office building that houses any of the aforementioned branches of law enforcement or judicial branch. POINT OF CONTACT: Expressions of interest should be submitted to the following person and address in writing, via e-mail, or via fax, and should provide the building name, address, and the offered square footage, a site plan, accessibility to public transit and a list of moderately priced eateries and other employee services located within 1 mile of the site.
