- Description
- The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest is soliciting for manual forestry services including planting, herbicide application, and other vegetation treatments using manual power tools, including release, mid-story reduction, pre-commercial thinning, and cut-and-leave. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), incidentals, and perform all work necessary to conduct the work in compliance with terms, specifications, conditions, and provisions of this solicitation. This solicitation and the resultant contract is a performance-based requirements contract with one base year and four option years that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. A single contract is anticipated to be awarded as a result of this solicitation. All districts of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in Georgia are included in this contract. The anticipated solicitation issuance date for this project is October 29, 2009. Dates are subject to change. The dates will be confirmed in the solicitation package and/or any amendment issued to the solicitation. The solicitation can be downloaded at no cost at www.fbo.gov. A pre-proposal meeting will be conducted November 16 at 1:00pm at the Forest Supervisor’s Office in Gainesville GA. A conference call line will also be available. NOTE: To be acceptable, an offer MUST contain both a technical proposal and a business proposal (pricing), as explained in the solicitation. All offerors who submit a proposal for this project must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base in accordance with FAR 52.204-7, and must have completed Representations and Certifications (ORCA) in accordance with FAR 52.204-8. Offerors who fail to register in CCR and/or complete ORCA will not be considered for award. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to moconnor@fs.fed.us. Only written questions will be addressed.
