- Description
- U.S. CBP is attempting to upgrade its current webgear and is actively searching for the following equipment: Black, plastic, plastic composites, nylon (or similar material) pouches for the 30 round M4 magazine. The material chosen must have wear data that shows a minimum life of five (5) years. The pouch design shall encompass both a one (1) magazine and two (2) magazine design. If it is a single magazine design, it must be expandable to carry the second magazine. The pouch must be capable of supporting a 30 round 5.56mm x 45 magazine with dimensions of 7 ¾” x 2 ½” x 7/8”. The pouch must have hidden snaps and have a flap (or flaps) that securely contain the magazine(s). The pouch must be able to be affixed to a 2 ¼” belt through a permanent mount. Any offeror that believes they have a product(s) that can meet the above may submit information by e-mail (only) to Rick Travis at richard.travis@dhs.gov not later than 23 October 2009 The information must be sufficient to determine that the offeror’s capabilities to produce the above noted equipment. This synopsis is intended for information and planning purposes only and the government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted. Based upon responses received, the government reserves to determine the potential format for any resultant solicitation.
