- This modification to announcement is issue to incorporate the following changes: a. Solicitation bid date change as follows: From: October 17, 2009. To: November 13, 2009. b. Contract completion period: From: Sixty (60) calendar days after Notice to Proceed. To: Three hundred sixty-five (365) days after Notice to Proceed. c. Addition of the following specification: SECTION 14 24 24 Repair and Alteration of Existing Hydraulic Elevators. d. Incorporation of FAR 52.211-12, LIQUIDATED DAMAGES -- CONSTRUCTION (SEPT 2000) e. Additional bid items as follows: *Bid Item 0002 is the addition of the following: Provide Elevators Inspection/Code Training as offered by the Polytechnic University Of Puerto Rico. The bid shall include the course cost and necessary materials for two persons. Contact University Center For Professional Education and Training at 787-622-8000, ext. 470 or 464. *Bid Item 0003 is the addition of the following: Provide latest edition of Safety Code For Elevators Code Book ASME A17.1, Manual and Handbook f. Change Classification Code as follows: From: Y- Construction To: Z- Real Property Maintenance Ect. The above listed changes will be incorporated into the solicitation via Amendment to Solicitation with the issue of Standard Form 30. The amendment to solicitation will be posted at the Federal Business Opportunities System website https://www.fbo.gov on or before October 15, 2009. This amendment will be available in electronic format ONLY. Dissemination is limited to electronic medium and the VA Caribbean Healthcare System WILL NOT PROVIDE HARD COPIES. Once the amendment is posted Offerors are advises that they are responsible to review and for monitoring this solicitation in the website frequently to ensure that they have most up to date information about this acquisition. Offeror are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments. Questions shall be submitted IN WRITING at the following e-mail address israel.rodriguez-perez@va.gov or via facsimile at (787) 781-8721 no later than October 21, 2009.
