Description
Solicitation Notice for Food for Peace Officer Ladies/Gentlemen: SUBJECT: Solicitation (#383-09-508) for Personal Services Contractor (PSC), Food for Peace Officer, USAID/Sri Lanka ISSUANCE DATE: October 1, 2009 CLOSING DATE: October 29, 2009 (4pm Colombo, Sri Lanka time/ 6.30am Washington, DC time) The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking applications from qualified U.S. citizens interested in providing the PSC services as described in the attached solicitation for services in Colombo, Sri Lanka. PLEASE NOTE: The performance of this position will be in USAID/Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Executive Office where all applications must be received by the closing time/date is in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Applicants may choose any of the following methods to submit their applications but USAID accepts no responsibility for delay in transit, mis-routing, etc. Submissions shall be in accordance with the above information at the place and time specified. Given the frequent intermittent problems experienced with fax and e-mail, all candidates are advised that, should they choose to utilize fax or e-mail, we suggest you confirm with USAID Executive Office that all documentation submitted was received prior to the closing date of this notice. Equipment failures at USAID or by the applicant's network are not acceptable reasons for late submission as candidates have the option of sending their application hard copy by courier. No repeat no applications will be considered after the closing time and date and it is the applicant's full responsibility to ensure that all their documentation has been received by our office. Potential applicants should submit Optional Form OF-612, Resume (optional) and three references including full name, telephone number and address. (Note: applicants who submit the SF-171 and three references will be considered as having submitted the proper forms for consideration. However, use of the OF-612 is preferred, and it is recommended that candidates submit OF-612 and attaching an optional resume). The OF-612 form is located at the USAID Agency website: http://www.usaid.gov, click on Business and Business Forms. Applications may be sent: •(1) to fax number 94-11-2472850 (Colombo, Sri Lanka) •(2) as an e-mail attachment to hrcolombo@usaid.gov •(3) by mail through the U.S. Postal Service to: Mr. Michael Sampson Executive Officer Department of State/USAID 6100 Colombo Place Washington DC 20521-6100 Please note if you use the US Postal service, delivery is to Washington, DC mailroom. At that point envelopes are then sent to post in the diplomatic pouch which can take 2-3 weeks. Again as noted above, deadline for receipt is when it reaches the USAID EXECUTIVE OFFICE IN COLOMBO, SRI LANKA, not when it reaches the Washington, DC mailroom. Documents received at the Executive Office in Colombo, Sri Lanka AFTER the deadline time/date as listed above will not be considered. •(4) Courier (DHL, Federal Express or other courier) Mr. Michael Sampson Executive Officer USAID No.44, Galle Road Colombo 3.
