Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, Precision Strike Weapons – PMA-201, intends to award a sole source contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., St. Louis, MO for Taiwan Air Force Air Launch Standard Positioning Service to Precise Positioning Service (PPS) and Warhead/Fuse Upgrade All-Up-Round Block II Retrofit Kits. This is a Foreign Military Sale and a quantity of 53 each is being ordered. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed Price modification against Contract N00019-08-C-0042 will be issued. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Requests for written information will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with MDC at the following address: McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, Attention: Jacqueline Jones, P. O. Box 416, Bldg 270, Mail Code S270-2500, St. Louis, MO 63146. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving a contract award will be registration in the DOD's Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
