Description
RECOVERY ACT ACTION THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. RFQ No. NLM-09-195-SB Award Notification. In accordance with FAR Part 5.7 Publicizing Requirements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act this is a notification of award for competitive, firm-fixed priced, procurement using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding. The Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, Office of the Director, National Institutes of Health, obtained professional support for the review of technical assurance documents. The resultant fixed priced purchase order, HHSN276200900858P, has been awarded to DJD Consulting, DUNS No. 788822836, in the amount of $24,000. Under the aforementioned order, the period of performance will be from September 30, 2009 - September 29, 2010 with one additional 12-month option period. The Contractor is responsible for performing the following tasks: • Review and analyze documents for the Division of Assurances. Tasks will include review of grants documents for appropriateness of sections describing animal use and performance sites to determine assurance need. • Review grant data in IMPACII associated with requests from IC grants managers and specialists to provide or obtain data necessary to make award (ie, communicate with grants management personnel and Institution to determine assurance, new full domestic, [conditional or restricted], foreign or inter-institutional appropriate with PHS Policy.) • Review and negotiate Institutional Assurance documents, prepare draft materials (e.g., correspondence, guidance), and advise the Director and Assurance Division on technical matters requiring expertise in the PHS Policy, and implementation of the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. • Participate in meetings with OLAW staff in person or via teleconference if necessary.
