- Availability of a prospectus for solicitation to sell convenience items within three of the south Florida Parks. Everglades National Park, Dry Tortugas National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve. The Convenience items are small and potential gross revenue is very limited. Gross revenues over the past three years have averaged $59,760 and $60,485 annually. The term of this contract is expected to be ten years, and will require a minimum franchise fee to paid to the National Park Service of 2% of gross receipts. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR 51 has determined that this is a qualified contract with regard to preference for a Preferred Offeror, and therefore, a preferred offeror exists. Offers must be received by December 1, 2009 by 4:00 p.m. The Prospectus will explain the business opportunity, the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract, the opportunity, the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract, the proposal instructions, and the proposal package (including the selection factors). The Prospectus will be available at the NPS website at http:www.concessions.nps.gov/Prospectus.cfm, or you can receive a hard copy for Please make checks for $50.00 payable to the National Park Service. There will be an administrative charge to recoup printing cost of $45.00 plus a $5.00 mailing fee for each prospectus. Please include a physical address (not post office box) and telephone number.
