- Description
- The Army Sustainment Command (ASC) is Headquarters (HQ) for the Armys Field Support Brigades and Battalions, Logistics Support Elements, and Brigade Logistics Support Teams. HQ ASC enables these organizations to complete their missions in the field, identify and resolve equipment and maintenance problems, and ensure their materiel readiness issues for combatant commands are taken care of. In support of ASCs mission, the Information Management (IM) Directorate, G6, manages the ASCs information technology (IT) investments, capitalizing upon best practices, emerging technology and common solutions using portfolio management (PfM). The ASC G6 is developing a formal, structured, repeatable IT PfM Process that must be integrated with a solid foundation to include an Enterprise Architecture (EA) development and validation process. The Armys IT PfM Process will capitalize upon the Army Enterprise Architecture (AEA) as well as other existing architectures.
