Description
Antenna Requriments The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has a need for an antenna solution that will allow continuous transmission and receipt of signals from multiple feeds across a wide spectrum of frequencies in support of operational communications. Current systems are integrated from multiple sources and do not leverage shared resources to improve performance and reduce equipment requirements. Additionally, with the advancements of technology in the area of antennas and the systems they support, USSOCOM seeks a solution that will provide interoperable and supportable C4ISR capabilities across the wide range of platforms. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Special Communications Requirement Division (SCRD), on behalf of USSOCOM is seeking information from companies on a solution that will provide antenna capability which will allow the user to receive RF video and metadata feeds from aircraft over multiple frequency bands utilizing multiple waveforms. An objective capability is to also have two way transmission capability with the subject aircraft. Please view the attached Request For Information (RFI) document for minimum and objective requirements for the antenna. All data received in response to this RFI, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated RFP that may be issued. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offeror’s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information. All responses, including capability statements, shall be submitted no later than 2:00 PM EST, 30 October 2009. All interested parties should send any comments or questions to Contract Specialist, e-mail: robert.battaglia@navy.mil or phone: 732-323-7535 in Microsoft Word format or Portable Document Format (PDF). The Government is neither committed nor obligated to pay for the information provided, and no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this request for information.
