- Description
- The work entailed in this project consists of dredging the shoaled areas in Cuts 1, 3,&4. The required dredging depth for Cut 1 is 12 feet MLLW, and the required dredging depth for Cuts 3 & 4 is 10 feet MLLW. The allowable overdepth for Cuts 1, 3,&4 is 2 feet. The total quantity to be dredged is approximately 61,000 C.Y. of material. All beach quality dredged material shall be placed unto the designated beach disposal area; placement will begin south of the Jetty at R-monument 90 and continuing South to R-94. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. ALL RESPONSIBLE BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. There will be a price preference for certified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307. The solicitation will be issued on or about 21 August 2009 with proposals due on or about 22 September 2009. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/.
