- RECOVERY ACTION. FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. DUNS 175252894. The modification addresses the following work: Developing a high resolution seismic imaging method for imaging fractures and fluid flow using time-lapse vertical seismic profiling and micro earthquake data and for developing a reservoir-scale fully coupled thermal-hydrologic-mechanical model. NOTE: This action is awarded under Modification no. A099 that recognizes Work Authorization no. GT-100036-20685-09, Rev. 1 (LASO # RA-09-018) issued under Management and Operating Contract number DE-AC52-06NA25396. This action is funded by Recovery Act dollars. Justification for Non-Fixed Price Type of Contract for WA*: Los Alamos National Security was selected by the Department of Energy (DOE) to participate in this American Recovery Re-investment Act work given their technical expertise in the subject matter. The additional work is allowed under Section J, Appendix B. Statement of Work Section 3.4 entitled Energy Supply of the current Contract based on the following paragraph: “The Contractor shall conduct research that addresses energy supply issues by applying capabilities in the areas of exploration, reservoir modeling, integrated assessments, and environmental transport. The Contractor shall support DOE/National Nnuclear Security Administration’s efforts in the broad areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, fossil energy, and nuclear energy.” This is a Cost-Reimbursable type contract.
