- Estimated Transportation Rate per Miles for Denver Wage Determination for Denver Contract Pricing Information Estimated Volumes for Denver Instructions to Offerors Appendix A to MTESC SOW (Attachment 2) Pricing Matrix for Denver MTESC Statement of Work (Attachment 1) Solicitation 3CW-09-A-0009 Denver Mail Transport Equipment Center ================================ Solicitation Number: 3CW-09-A-0009 ================================ The United States Postal Service (USPS) has issued Solicitation # 3CW-09-A-0009 to pre-qualified suppliers (from the market research conducted from Solicitation 3CW-09-A-0003 Detroit Location) for the operation of a Mail Transportation Equipment Service Center (MTESC) to be located in the Denver, Colorado Area. The USPS will accept offers only from pre-qualified suppliers for the operation of a Mail Transportation Equipment Service Center (MTESC). The Solicitation # 3CW-09-A-0009 was issued directly to the prequalified suppliers on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. The proposals are due by 10/30/2009, 3:00 PM EST. The Denver MTESC is part of a the Postal Service's network of MTESC sites. The purpose of the Mail Transport Equipment (MTE) network is to ensure an adequate supply of high-quality MTE ready for rapid deployment to Postal facilities and the customers. MTESCs will process the MTEs as specified in the statement of work. The MTESC will receive MTE, examine it, and route it for reuse if serviceable, repair it if defective but repairable, or dispose it off if beyond repairable. (Disposal may be through waste pickup or material recycling and will be directed by the Postal Service.) Each MTESC in the network will be responsible for processing and repairing MTE for use by Postal facilities and commercial mailers. The MTE network will provide an efficient means of continuously improving the management of MTE processing, repair, and distribution functions. Other benefits expected from the MTE network include better MTE performance and life cycle data and improved control over the disposal of condemned MTE. The MTE network will also allow Postal Service Area and Headquarters staff to continuously balance MTE inventories within and among all Postal Service Network both effectively and efficiently.
