- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make an award to a responsible quoter for the provision of Unarmed Guard Services for the Federal Correctional Complex, 2225 Haley Barbour Parkway, Yazoo City, MS 39194. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. This requirement is for two (2) guards per shift. The estimated yearly contract requirement is for 9984 man-hours. The contractor, upon request from the Captain or Operation Lieutenant, will report to the institution, accept custody of the inmate and escort the inmate to the medical appointment or local hospital(s). The contractor will return the inmate to Bureau staff upon completion of the appointment. Requests for service are subject to being initiated any time of day or night. As much notice as possible will be given. In emergency situations, the response time of service after notification is two (2) hours. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 1, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 561612, with a small business size standard of $18.5 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about November 4, 2009; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is set-aside for small business concerns. All interested small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
