- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Volcano Hazard Team, Menlo Park, CA, requires an annual maintenance agreement for existing equipment in the possession of the USGS. The agreement is for a LEO 982 digital field emission scanning microscope, Serial Number 8792, manufactured by Carl Zeiss, SMT, Inc of Peabody, MA. The period of performance is November 1, 2009 to October 31, 2010, with a one year option period. Accordingly, the USGS intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) (2), upon availability of funds, to Carl Zeiss, Inc, of Peabody, MA. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish similar services shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contracting Specialist no later than the closing date of this announcement. All submissions must demonstrate the ability to provide continuing maintenance on the LEO 982 digital field emission scanning microscope. Services will be performed in Menlo Park, CA. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-36, effective 10 September 2009.
