- RECOVERY ACTION. FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. DUNS 785627931. The modification addresses the following work: “Predicting stimulation response relationships for engineered geothermal reservoirs.” Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) will produce a predictive permeability propagation capability for engineered geothermal systems through leveraging on the development of LLNL codes. The LLNL will explore hydraulic and explosive stimulation methods and evaluate how stimulation scenarios influence heat transfer on a reservoir scale. The contractor will be working at Lawrence Livermore. NOTE: This action is awarded under Modification no. A105 that recognizes Work Authorization no. GT-100038-20685-09 Rev 2 issued under Management and Operating Contract number DE-AC52-07NA27344. This action is funded by Recovery Act dollars. The work authorization is priced as an “Other than Fixed Price” action. In accordance with FAR 5.705(b), the rationale for pricing this action “Other than Fixed Price” is due to the fact that Lawrence Livermore National Security operates under a cost re-imbursement Management and Operating contract and all costs are fully recovered. The other basis for Other than Fixed Price is because this is a Research and Development type work authorization and is therefore cost-reimbursable.
