- RECOVERY--This solicitation is to procure services to dry-dock a river towboat and repair a floating crane. The work will consist of dry-docking the M/V TENN-TOM river towboat and floating crane R. W. DAVIS and performing necessary repairs and painting. The contractor will furnish all labor and material, to accomplish the work. The TENN-TOM is a river towboat built in 1997 by Patti Shipyards, Pensacola, FL. General characteristics are length - 85, beam - 30,molded depth, amidships - 10-0,displacement - 356 long tons. The R. W. DAVIS is floating crane with a pedestal mounted Manitowoc 4600 S-3 type crane. She was built in 1993 by Vanguard Services, New Johnsonville, TN. General characteristics are length - 160, beam - 54,molded depth amidships - 10-0, and displacement 1,397 long tons. The Government will deliver the plant without cost to the successful bidder within 75 miles of Mobile, AL. A charge of $91.70 will be assessed per statute mile for distances greater than 75 miles from Mobile, AL, in the delivery and return of the plant. All work must be completed no later than 60 calendar days after the barges arrive at the contractors facility. Offerors shall provide a schedule for dry docking and completion repairs. This solicitation is American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funded. It is anticipated that a fixed Price contract will be awarded. This procurement is a set aside for small business under NAICS 336611. All questions should be sent by email to Geanette Kelley, at geanette.kelley@usace.army.mil.
