- Description
- This is a DESIGN/BUILD project with extensive engineering analysis, evaluation, testing and making immediate design and construction use of the findings of the analysis and evaluation to resolve the mold growth issues and construct the buildings and systems as a whole for the barracks and central plant facility using a sound engineering basis for the construction, reconstruction and remodeling of building HVAC systems and Central plant. The goal is to provide healthy apartment style barracks free of mold and free of potential for mold growth following the best practices available in the industry by remodeling these redesigned barracks to approximate the army 1+1 barracks goal, with redesigned/reconstructed wall assemblies, stair well and walkway vestibules including all mechanical system upgrades such as 4 pipe distribution system with heat recovery, heat pumps, central makeup AHUs for pressurization etc., or any well conceived mechanical HVAC system that is determined by virtue of the evaluation and study to be the best alternative and in compliance with EPAC2005. The project location is at Fort Hood Texas.
