- NAICS Code: 532112 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Facilities Operations Branch (FOB) in Washington, DC, intends to extend Purchase Order EP09H000729 with General Motors, of Warren, MI, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures. The purpose of this modification is to add five (5) one-month optional periods to lease the Chevrolet Equinox fuel cell vehicle as part of EPA's vehicle fleet. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 532112. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that General Motors is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement as they are the sole provider of Hydrogen Fuel vehicles available for leasing. Under this extension, the vendor shall provide for lease the Chevrolet Equinox fuel cell vehicle, which features a 93 kilowatt fuel cell stack powering a 3-phase asynchronous electric motor through February 24, 2010. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. All questions and responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to Nicole Humphrey, Contracting Officer, at humphrey.nicole@epa.gov. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
