- Description
- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole-source acquisition to repair a York Millenium Model 18 ton chiller at building 500. No other contractor is capable of providing this service due to the lack of knowledge base as well as the unique proprietary ability to service the stated equipment. Johnson Controls, Inc. is the sole provider of these items. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Johnson Controls, Inc. is currently the only known company to provide the repairs needed to the York Millenium Model 18 ton chiller. The procurement must be completed in a timely manner in order to meet mission requirements.
