- Description
- The Fleet Readiness Center- East (FRC-E), Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for commercial and Government data using internet subscription services and limited CD-ROM media for selected products networked on the FRC local area network. These services are required to maintain essential capabilities for analyses and studies of technology vital to the support of the war efforts and the war fighter. The services provided by this system are essential to core operations and provides critical data for research for the procurement, improvement, maintenance, repair, modification, and upgrade of the fleet aircraft, parts, and system components. The current requirement includes the procurement of online data subscription services as well as provides all ancillary software required to interface the system into the existing LAN and NMCI network as required for complete functionality. The documents and information contractor provides shall be viewable online in electronic-based Portable document format (PDF) or Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format, shall be fully printable, and shall be provided in a licensing arrangement which permits authorized interfaces for viewing and downloading via Windows 3.1X, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows NT, and Windows Vista operating systems. At this time, there is no other contractor that can provide access to one hundred percent of the online data subscription service information through a single Internet-based index and search engine. With the documents and information fully viewable online in electronic-based PDF or HTML format fully printable, and shall be provided in a licensing arrangement which shall permit authorized downloading by the users without incorporating hardcopy substitution of the specified information which does not meet the licensing and use requirements, and thus shall not be acceptable. The period of performance will begin on or about 20 October 2009 to 19 October 2010 with provision for one option year with Information Handling Services (IHS), Englewood CO 801224-5704 based on the belief HIS is the proprietary supplier of a comprehensive service containing technical catalog information covering a full range of products, services, and engineering data used throughout industry. The uniqueness of the system configuration since the initiation of the Navy Marine Corps Internet, dictates that certification is required for all applications used on the LAN network, IHS is ISO 9001 certified and provides capability to produce data in full text format.
