- The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), VA Caribbean HealthcareSystem (VACHS), Procurement Business Division (PBD), Tres Rios Building,San Patricio, 27 Ave. J. Gonzlez Giusti Suite 600, Guaynabo, PR 00968intent to solicit offers and award one firm-fixed price contract on acompetitive basis for Preventive Maintenance of sterilizers and Cleanersunder applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code number 811219 and Size Standard is $6.5M. This procurement is 100%SET ASIDE FOR Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business. This is asolicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with thesubparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation 12. The solicitationdocuments, all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effectthrough Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-27. The DVA intendsaward a Contract with a base period from the date of award to September30, 2010, including four (4) one (1) year renewal options period to beexercised at the discretion of the Government. The qualified SDVOSBPreventive Maintenance firm shall furnish all necessary travel, labormaterials and parts for the PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF STERILIZERS ANDCLEANERS located at VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan PR.QUESTIONS: shall be submitted in writing via facsimile or e-mailattention to the Contracting Officer no later than 10 days after thesolicitation is posted at Fedbizopps (FBO) web site:http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. VERBAL OR TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WON'T BEACCEPTED. All responses will be answered and incorporated in to awritten amendment to the solicitation, for the benefit of all interestedofferor's. Solicitation No. VA-248-09-RP-0598 electronic solicitationpackage will be available to the public as Request for Proposal at FBOweb site by or after October 5, 2009. FAXED PROPOSALS WILL NOT BEACCEPTED. Offerors shall go to FBO web site to download subjectsolicitation package, including any related attachments and/oramendments after October 5, 2009. In case the solicitation due date isextended, all interested offeror's shall be responsible to monitor thechanges posted at FBO web site, prior the solicitation due date. Eachofferor shall acknowledge receipt of each amendment, submitting eachamendment attention to the CO at Department of Veterans Affairs, VACaribbean Healthcare System, Procurement Business Division, Tres RosBuilding - San Patricio, #27 Ave. J. Gonzlez Giusti Suite 600, Guaynabo,PR 00968 by the solicitation due date. The contract resulting from thisprocurement will be awarded to the responsive and responsible offerorwhose offer, conforming to the solicitation requirements will be mostadvantageous to the Government, in terms of technical factors, pastperformance and price standpoint. Offer shall includes a fixed firmprice for the services shown in the Schedule of Price Section of thesolicitation, or offer will be unacceptable to the Government based onthe solicitation terms and conditions. There will be no publicbid/offer opening meeting on the solicitation due date. The Governmentreserves the right to award without discussions; therefore, the offerorshall submit the most favorable terms and technical information withtheir offer. All interested offeror's shall be registered in theCentral Contractor Registration (CCR) database before submit theiroffer. Contractors are responsible for the accuracy of information addedto CCR. To be registered, you must go to http://www.ccr.gov/. Currentcontract information may be re-quested and disclosed under Freedom ofInformation Act (FOIA), in accordance with 38 Code of FederalRegulations (CFR) 1.553(b). Each request shallreasonably describe the records, so that they may be located with areasonable amount of effort. Also each FOIA Requestor shall states theirwillingness to pay applicable fees or provide justification to support afee waiver. A day time telephone number is required. All envelopes andcorrespondence must state Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request.For all interested offeror's to request a Site Visit to see the VACHSarea; Site visits shall be scheduled only with Eng.
