- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm fixed price order to McDonnell Douglas, A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company under N00019-05-G-0026. This order is to provide Harpon Encapsulated integration efforts. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the Harpoon weapon system and its related equipment. MDC alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with MDC at the following address: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, Attention: Thomas A. Peterson, Mail Code S5982162, Highway 94 North/Harpoon Drive, St. Charles, MO 63301. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving a contract award will be registration in the DODs Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
