Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR MTM BUILDERS, INC. UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER: N62473-09-C-1240 REPAIR OBSTACLE COURSE AND TRACK, AREA 609, AT MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT, SAN DIEGO, CA. The contractor shall provide all labor, approved materials, and equipment needed to complete the following work on building 639 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot. The prioritized goals of this project are as follows: 1.Remove and provide new exhaust and supply fans, and make-up air units for the entire building. Remove and replace all ceiling air registers. Inspect and repair ductwork where necessary. Test and balance the entire system. 2.Replace all broken pool skimmer tiles with matching and similar-like skimmer tiles. Clean existing tiles so that replacements are as close a match as possible. Provide twelve skimmers tiles for future use by the government. 3.Replaster the swimming pool. Existing lane markers may remain. Plaster finish should be able to withstand a harsh chemical environment. Replace the underwater pool lights. 4.Prep and paint interior walls, ceiling, doors and trim in the swimming pool space and the locker rooms to include the exposed steel structure and ductwork. Protect the tectum accoustical panels on the ceiling. 5.Provide new, energy efficient lighting in the existing metal light troughs that surround the swimming pool. "This acquisition to support the Navy/Marine Corps mission was awarded sole source to an 8(a) certified firm in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(4), the 8(a) Program."
