- Description
- In support of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a combination fixed price type and cost type order to the Rolls-Royce Corporation (RRC), Indianapolis, IN, for sustaining support under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) number N00019-08-G-0003 during CY 2010-2012 (a base and 2 option years) for the French Ministry of Defense (FMOD) E-2C Hawkeye aircraft engines. The proposed effort requires that RRC provide product engineering support for the T56 Series IV (SIV) engine, including engineering, logistical, technical, depot, and operational support. As the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and system integrator, RRC is the only firm possessing the extensive knowledge and technical data peculiar to all configurations of the T56-A-427 engine used by the FMS country. Additionally, as only RRC has the engineering, manufacturing, and unique logistics support experience and technical data pertinent to the systems design and operational characteristics of the FMOD T56-A-427, they are uniquely qualified to meet the French E-2C fleet operation commitments.
