- DESCRIPTION: The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System intends to procure sole using the authority in PL 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Sections 502 and 503., NAICS code 545129/8.5 million in receipts applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is staffing for Accounts Receivable and billing responsibilities for the VA in Nebraska. The current effort is approximately 26 personnel. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of PL 109-461 above and FAR 6.302. Interested Veteran owned companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Veteran owned companies who believe they can meet this requirement must submit information about their capabilities no later than 12:00 PM CST, 9/24/2009. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a Veteran only competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
