- Description
- The 14th Comptroller and Contracting Squadron, 555 Seventh St, Columbus AFB, MS 39710 intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source contract to Needham and Associates, Inc. of Lenexa Kansas under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii). This is a follow on contract to develop and provide operations and maintenance manuals for existing aircraft sunshelter systems. This requirement is being awarded under FAR Part 36.6 for A&E services. The authority to go sole source is required as a follow-on to specialized services provided to reduce substantial duplication of costs to the Government. The cost is estimated to be less than $15,000. Start date will be upon contract award, and the completion date is expected to be 30 days after award. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested contractors may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications for future efforts to Eric Heaton, Contracting Officer. Capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not this procurement could be competitive for future reference. A determination by the Government to not open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
