- The Contractor shall perform roof replacements in Cottonwood (three shelters #5, #7, #9) and Bob Shetler (two shelters #1, #2 and one day use area comfort station #1) Recreation Areas, Saylorville Lake Project. Work includes Contractor furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to complete the entire scope of work (according to specifications and industry standards) in a manner acceptable to the Government. There are five picnic shelters and one comfort station building consisting of architectural asphalt shingle roofing and associated materials. Existing roofing materials are to be removed down to the 2X6 tongue and groove decking and properly disposed of off site. Number of layers to be removed is unknown. Condition of 2X6 tongue and groove roof decking and fascia are unknown and some repairs should be expected. The roof is to be cleaned and properly prepared before installation of the new roofing materials. The six buildings total roofing materials to be removed and replaced are approximately 110 squares.
