Description
DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army is interested in procuring a quantity of from 800 to 1000 MK19Mod 3 40MM Grenade Machine Guns (GMG). The MK19 Mod 3 GMG is a crew served, man portable, 40 MM grenade machine guncapable of full automatic fire delivering aimed fire to area targets up to2012 meters and with a rate of fire of 325-400 rounds per minute (RPM). TheMK19 Mod 3 GMG can be mounted on the ground or on vehicle applications. The MK19 Mod 3 GMG is a sensitive Category II item as described under DOD5100.76-M, Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition andExplosives. Category II Transportation Protective Service (TPS) of ArmedGuard Surveillance while in transit is required pursuant to AR 55-355, DefenseTraffic Management Regulation. In accordance with current DOD Policy, allsecurity sensitive items will be procured under For Origin Only deliveryitems. Contractors must provide proof and demonstrate the ability to manufacture theMK19 Mod 3 GMG in accordance with drawing 12997550 and meet the performancecharacteristics outlined in MIL-G-70790. The contractor is required to provide appropriate firing ranges to constrainthe function firing of the Mk19 Mod 3 GMG in accordance with the properadherence to Army and OSHA standards. All live fire will be accomplished byremote fire. Contractors are required to successfully complete First Article Testing.Minimum production rate shall be 200 weapons per month after first article. The USG requires first delivery of MK19 Mod3 GMGs 9 months after contractaward date. All technical documents associated with this procurement are marked withDistribution Statement D. To obtain a copy of this Technical Data Package (TDP): Interested partiesmust mail / email an approved DD Form 2345 Military Critical Technical DataAgreement, a completed and signed AMSTA-AR Form 1350 Technical Data RequestQuestionnaire with the U.S. State Department letter that contains theregistration number and valid expiration date, and a completed and signed U.S.Government Non-Disclosure / Non-Use Agreement. This is a market survey, not a pre-solicitation notice. There is no formalsolicitation available at this time. If a formal solicitation is generated ata later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be madefrom this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost orobligation to the Government.
