Description
For more information contact Daniel L. Corwin, Engineer, (732) 532-3724 This is a Market Survey follow-up for companies who have expressed interest in supplying a Form, Fit and Function (F3) replacement for the C-6533/ARC or any other companies with that interest. The C-6533/ARC is a communication device that provides audio monitoring and voice transmission selection capabilities to multiple radio channels, as well as internal communications between pilot and crew inside the UH-60A/L Black Hawk and the CH-47D Cargo Helicopters. There are five CSC units installed inside each of the UH-60A and 60L and six units installed inside the CH-47D Helicopters. The C-6533A/ARC is a re-engineered drop-in F3 replacement for the C-6533/ARC. The current source for this C-6533A/ARC is American Competitiveness Institute (ACI), Cage Code 1BXD9, P/N 653302 and NSN 5895-01-491-9407. The Government intends to award a sole source multi-year type of Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with ACI for the C-6533A/ARC. It is estimated that total requirement for about 12,000 CSC units are needed over a five year period. Requirements for consideration for this contractual effort are as follows. Sources must obtain Air Worthiness Release (AWR) Certification approval per Army Regulation 72-60 by the approval authority of AMCOM Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED), AMSRD-AMR-AE, Bldg 4488 2nd Floor, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5000 and ultimately receive AMCOM AED full Air Worthiness Release Certification for their design. For companies that have already expressed interest, has a design plan been developed? Does the company have a working model? Has the Test Plans been developed for the Environmental Stress and EMI Tests as dictated by AED? Request companies provide in details their plan of action and a time table towards AWR certification. Companies capable of manufacturing and delivering these items as specified above must so indicate, by writing to Commander, US Army CECOM LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. This Market Survey does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it guarantee any future contract. No telephone responses will be accepted, only responses in writing or email will be considered. For more information contact Daniel L. Corwin at Daniel.Corwin@us.army.mil. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and not an offer for proposal. The deadline for response to this notice is 07 October 2009.
