- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Far Field Anechoic Chamber for antennameasurements. This is a customized system featuring a dedicated positioner. The keyrequirement for the upgraded hardware is to maintain compatibility with thisconfiguration using the MI-4190 positioner controller, and the PNA-X and Anritsu vectornetwork analyzer, so that the system can operate properly to perform these specializedmeasurements.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from MI Technologies, LLC. MI Technologies hasthe off-the-shelf capability to provide just the upgrade portion to control the specificpositioned and field probe, in addition to the network analyzers for the small portion ofour existing system.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities, qualifications, and quote toperform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00p.m. local time on September 28, 2009.Such capabilities/qualifications will beevaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
