Description
The objective of this contract is to provide Architect-Engineer Design Services to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of a pool of Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contracts as defined in FAR 16.504. The primary customer under these contracts will be the Range and Training Land Program at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (USAESCH). Other customers or programs may be supported within the scope of these contracts. The A-E contracts are intended to provide a variety of A-E services to include: project planning, site investigations, engineering analysis, surface danger zone analysis, evaluations and various studies, surveying and geotechnical investigations, innovative technology applications analysis, sustainable design applications, National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) documentation investigations, construction plans, specifications and cost estimates, value engineering studies, extension of designs and engineering services during range and training facility construction and other related services. Tasks which may be performed under the Unrestricted Suite may include: Combined Arms Collective Training Facility, Battle Area Complex, Multipurpose Range Complex, Multipurpose Training Range, Digital Multipurpose Range Complex, Digital Multipurpose Training Range, Digital Air Ground Integration Range, Battle Command Training Center, and Close Combat Tactical Trainers. Contractors must have the professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of the required services. In accordance with FAR 52.236-23, Responsibility of the Architect-Engineer Contractor, the A-E Contractor shall be responsible for the professional quality, technical accuracy, and the coordination of all designs, drawings, specifications, and other services furnished by the Contractor under this contract. The Contractor shall, without additional compensation, correct or revise any errors or deficiencies in its designs, drawings, specifications, and other services. In accordance with DFARS clause 252.236-7009, Option for Supervision and Inspection Services, the Contractor may perform any part or all of the supervision and inspection services for the construction contracts resulting from the A-E services, however, the A-E contractor will not be responsible for the direct performance of the construction itself. This solicitation was awarded as a MATOC pool with a total of four awardees: Mason and Hanger, Polyengineering, HNTB Corporation, and AMEC-Merrick Joint Venture.
