- Description
- The Government intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price purchase order with The Gas Company, LLC, 745 Fort Street Mall Ste 1800, Honolulu, HI 96813-3818. The Hawaii Army National Guard, Honolulu, HI, has a requirement for liquified propane gas for use by units located on the Big Island of Hawaii effective 1 October 2009 thru 30 September 2010, renewable for 3 option years. The Gas Company fully complies with the State of Hawaii requirements for supplying and transporting this gas on the Big Island of Hawaii. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Only one source reasonably available. NAICS code for this procurement is 454312 and the small business size standard is 50 Employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with The Gas Company, LLC.
