Description
This is a sources sought announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time. TACOM-Rock Island is seeking to identify potential sources that have the capability and experience to provide the following item; Control Module, Protective Entrance, NSN 4240-01-115-0996, part number 5-19-6641. The end item is the M14 Protective Entrance. The control module is made of aluminum alloy 5052-H32. The module is approximately 18 inches long by 4.25 inches high by 6.75 inches wide. It contains numerous drilled and tapped holes. The module consists of wiring, housing, cover connector, toggle switch, terminal lugs, indicator light, incandescent lamps, terminal board and switches. Welding and soldering required. Finish per No. 20.24 of MIL-STD-171. The technical requirements for this item are incorporated in a Technical Data Package (TDP), which can be found by clicking the link under the NSN/TDPL and Distribution Code column for the Control Module, Protective Entrance at https://aais.ria.army.mil/AAIS/Solinfo/MARKET_SURVEYS/market.htm and is export controlled. In order to gain access to export controlled technical data you must have a current DD 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement certification on file with the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS). To obtain certification, go to http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/, click on documents, and follow instructions provided. Processing time is estimated at three days after receipt. Upon receipt of certification, you may access the performance specification. Upon completion of the purposes for which the performance specification has been provided, the contractor is required to destroy all documents, including all reproductions, duplications, or copies thereof as may have been further distributed by the Contractor. Destruction of this technical data shall be accomplished by: shredding, pulping, burning, or melting any physical copies of the performance specification and/or deletion or removal of downloaded technical data files from computer drives and electronic devices, and any copies of those files. Interested parties are encouraged to submit a capability statement describing your companys previous experience with the manufacture of similar control modules or related parts.
