- Justification and Approval 6.302-1 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, 6.8.3.1 Maintenace Planning and Design Interface Support, China Lake, CA plans to increase the level of effort under the current contract, N68936-01-D-0005 with Synectic Solutions Inc. This notice is for informational purposes only. Synectic Solutions Inc. will continue to provide technical/management logistics support. They will continue to provide reliability and maintainability analysis, maintenance planning and design interface support requires evaluation of designs, evaluating design changes, and maintenance planning. The purpose of this increase in the level of effort under the current contract is to provide the capacity needed to maintain current contract initiatives. Provide flexibility for anticipated additional support requirements and provide sufficient additional capacity to allow the continuation of services through the end of the originally intended period of performance. The increase in the level of effort will sustain efforts through the current period of performance ending 26 April 2011. The Government’s minimum need for the continuation of effort can only be accomplished reasonably and without inpairing continued support through the award of this level of effort increase. Only Synectic Solutions Inc has the technical documentation and key personnel necessary to continue the support services currently being performed. It is not possible for any other potential source to become familiar enough with the tasking to sustain this workload without a break in services. Failures to award this contract will seriously restrict the 6.8.3.1 ability to respond to our sponsors’ needs during the recompetition. These are continuing tasks and are time sensitive. There are no other sources capable of providing uninterrupted support.
