- RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is AG6538S090050 and is issued as a request for quotation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through FAC 2005-32. The NACIS code applicable to this acquisition is 111150. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. The USDA, ARS, US Meat Animal Research Center, Clay Center, NE intends to procure approximately 32,500 bushes of Number 2 Yellow Corn. Quantity ordered may vary by 10%. Corn not meeting #2 quality standards will be rejected. Delivery will be FOB Destination to USDA-ARS-US MARC, Clay Centr NE. Vendor shall contact the location 1-2 days prior to delivery. Quoted price shall include delivery costs. This solicitation incorporates the following FAR clauses, provisions and addendums: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial item; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items - annual representations and certifications are required. 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. In paragraph B of 52.212-5, the following apply: 52.203-6 Alternate 1, 52.219-6, 52.219-8, 52.219-14, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.222-39, 52.225-13, 52,225-33, Vendor must be currently registered in both the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at www.bpn.gov to be considered for award. The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the specifications that will be the most advantageous to the government in accordance with FAR 13.106-2. All sources wishing to furnish a quotation must respond by no later than 12:00 p.m.(noon) CDT, September 23, 2009 with an acceptance perod of 3:00 p.m. CDT that same day. Quotations are to be addressed to Donita Furman. Quotations may be either faxed to 402-762-4148 or emailed to donita.furman@ars.usda.gov.
