Description

RECOVERY - The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requests quotes for Ultraviolet (UV) system ballast replacement at the Green Lake National Fish Hatchery located in Ellsworth, Maine. The work under this contract includes providing and replacing existing failed electronic germicidal ballasts as specified for UV light water disinfection system. Additive work items include re-termination of electronic ballasts to provide 3/4 inch air space between the cabinet and the existing ballast mounting plate, and the purchase and installation of additional hour meters for the existing UV units. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000. and $100,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238210. This project is set aside for small business. The small business size standard is $14 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The solicitation package including technical specifications and proposal documents will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about October 8, 2009. Quotes will be due on October 29, 2009 by 4:00 pm (eastern standard time). Interested contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov and complete Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at www.bpn.gov, to be eligible for award. Department of Labor Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply to this work.
