Description
Questions & Answers 1. Is the amount of time only limited to 1 day for each functional area needed to be completed and at the end of 8 days the entire 7.1 application is to be installed and configured? A: Not sure what is meant by "functional area" but yes at the end of the 8 days it is expected that the entire 7.1 application be installed and configured. 2. Who is the incumbent performing the work at the moment? A: Local administration (The customer) 3. Is 7.1 already installed at all in either a Development of Test Environment? A: No 4. Being as though the timeline is so aggressive is this is a new installation and complete configuration or has some of the work been completed already and the Government is looking for additional support? A: This is a new installation 5. Who is doing sustainment of the BMC application after this is installed? A: Local sustainment unless we want to pay for continued support, we assumed it would be local though. 6. Is there an option for a company to provide continual sustainment and administrative support of the application once configured? A: Sure, if we can afford it. We did expect to be able to have phone support at least. 7. If the timeline is limited to the information available on the site can the server configurations prior to the contractor sending in a bid or the start of the project? A: We can get the hardware installed and the OS / SQL installed prior to the 7.1 install by the vendor. Overall: This [is] to be treated as though there was no 7.1 in existence. The vendor would help install the application and migrate the data from our 5.1 platform to the new 7.1. Response Date Extended to 23 Sep 09.
