Description
Industry Day Registration Forms ****************************************************************************************************************** AMENDMENT 04 - 21 SEPTEMBER 2009 The purpose of this Amendment is to provide the details for Industry Day. The Naval Air Systems Command is sponsoring an unclassified Industry Day pertaining to the upcoming competitive requirement for the Sustainment, Modification, and Installation Program (SMIP) in support of depot level maintenance and airframe structural modifications on P-3 aircraft (all T/M/S). The purpose of the event is to provide a general overview of P-3 depot requirements, further articulate the competition timeline, and provide a forum for Question & Answer/networking opportunities. The Government will also be available for one-on-one discussions with potential Prime Contractors, along with their anticipated subcontractor team, provided prior coordination with the Government is established. The intent of the one-on-one session is only to answer specific questions regarding the solicitation that the potential Prime Contractor did not otherwise want to share in the general open session. The length of the one-on-one sessions will be limited to no more than 60 minutes. The General Session will be held from 8:00-10:00 on Thursday, October 8th, at RBC located at 46579 Expedition Drive, Suite 200, Lexington Park, MD. The one-on-one discussions will be held at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab (JHU APL), located in Suite 300 of the same building. One-on-one session times will be provided directly to the requesting contractor via separate correspondence. The current draft solicitation is posted to at: https://www.fbo.gov/spg/DON/NAVAIR/N00421/N00019-09-R-0216/listing.html. This Industry Day is intended to give Industry partners the opportunity to provide questions and feedback regarding the draft solicitation. To make this meeting as productive as possible, Industry partners are requested to submit specific questions and feedback regarding the draft solicitation via e-mail to Susan Supplee at susan.supplee@navy.mil no later than 1600 on 5 October 2009. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Navy will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government. Industry Day Registration: Pre-Registration is REQUIRED; doors will open at 0730 EST, 8 October 2009. This is a no-fee event and seating is limited. Attendees are required to complete the Registration Form posted with this announcement. Registration forms must be submitted by 5:00PM EST, Monday, September 28th via email to Susan Supplee at susan.supplee@navy.mil and cc: Cindy Norris at cynthia.norris.ctr@navy.mil and Ava Chandler at ava.chandler@navy.mil. A confirmation email will be sent upon verification of CAGE code. Attendee substitution requests may be submitted to the same points of contact by 5:00PM EST, Friday, October 2, 2009. Potential Prime contractors who are interested in participating in one-on-one discussions must fill out the one-on-one discussion registration form found on the second page of the Registration Form. IMPORTANT: Attendees will be required to present a CURRENT government issued photo ID (driver’s license, military ID, or passport) matching the information provided above upon check-in. Please allow sufficient time for the check-in/verification process. Late registration and “walk-in” requests will not be permitted. All questions regarding Industry Day shall be submitted via e-mail to the registration points of contact.
