- Description
- The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (NF/SG VHS), which includes the VA Medical Centers in Gainesville and Lake City, Florida, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 8153 and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc., 4039 Newberry Road, Gainesville, FL 32607, for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for blood and blood products. In emergent situations, the Contractor shall be available 24 hours per day, seven days a week, for pick-up within 30-60 minutes from the time requested. The Contractor shall be licensed with the FDA, Department of Health, Education and Welfare (pursuant to Section 510 of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, 21 U.S.C. Section 260). NAICS for this solicitation is 621991 with a size standard of $10 million. The Contract period will be from October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. Interested parties have 3 days from publication of this notice to submit in writing their qualifications and capabilities to provide this requirement. These statements will be used soley for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Determination not to conduct a competitive procurement as a result of responses received rests entirely with the Government.
