Description
DescriptionTHIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. The vendor is encouraged to provide the following information1.Company profile, size of business, Federal Supply Schedule or other GWAC vehicle.2.Product Name and literaturea. Functional and Nonfunctional Specifications b.A list of customers that have purchased the product, to include size of order and customer point of contact.3.Describe how the current product would be able to meet the VA's needs Objective for Market Research The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking out a commercial off-the shelf (COTS) solution that will provide remote access to devices that need to connect to the VA network. These devices that need to connect are not owned, or managed, by VA. The solution must ensure that the devices cannot introduce harmful code into the VA as well as ensuring that no data can be copied to destinations outside VA. Product Requirement DetailsThis section identifies and briefly describes product requirements that must be supported by the product delivered. 1.The system shall be FIPS 140-2 Certified (certificate number must be provided) on the device for the data and key transmission.2.The system shall be compatible with Microsoft XP and VISTA (32/64 bit versions)3.The system shall be compatible with Apple OS Leopard and newer 4.The system shall support two-factor authentication5.The system shall support Active Directory User Authentication6.The system shall prevent client from introducing malicious code into the VA's network7.The system shall prevent clients from downloading VA data to the endpoint8.The system shall support CITRIX, VM, Microsoft Terminal Services, and Remote Desktop9.The system shall support the use of VA's core applications, including VA VISTA, CPRS, Outlook, etc.10.The system shall enforce encryption of data at all times, from point to point.11.The system shall employ the use of a centralized or tiered administrative console.12.The system shall employ the use of an administrative console to view the deployed infrastructure.13.The system shall employ the use of an administrative console to control the deployed infrastructure.14.The system shall employ the use of an administrative console to centrally administer clients.15.The system shall employ the use of an administrative console to create a hierarchical administration model. 16.The system shall allow system administrators to access the console to review and update policies per group and/or at the national level.17.The system shall have a centralized administration database.18.The system shall enable remote update and installation of clients.19.The system shall support the installation of client software to be installed and updated by connecting to the VA network.20.The system administrative console shall integrate with Active Directory21.The system shall be Section 508 Compliant POC: Julina Lee, Contract Specialist, 732-578-5424 or julina.lee@va.gov.
