Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is for FA8201-09-T-0039 This is a small business set aside under NAICS code 333924 the hoist needs to have a capacity of 6 tons, (2 ea 3 ton hoists on a single bridge beam). Each hoist must have independent control and be able to used together or separately, and run the length of the bridge beam. The lifting height needs to be 19 feet. The span of the bridge must be 50 feet and the runway beams need to be 80 feet long. The bridge beam should run the entire length of the runway beams. The entire assembly must be supported from below. Due to the age and construction of the existing building, the crane cannot be supported by the building structure. Also, there are metal cables that run parallel in the floor every 20 feet that hold the exterior walls to each other to prevent the structure from collapsing (domed roof structure), so the pillars or columns that hold up the runway beams need to be at intervals that do not interfere with the existing cables in the floor. These columns need to be free standing and not have kickers that could interfere with the work flow. The control power for the hoist is 120 Volt and the power supply is 460/3/60. The entire assembly must also meet all UT safety and seismic requirements. Concrete footers needed on the ground to attach hoist assembly support columns will be installed by CSCI if they get the specifications by 30 Sep 09. A site visit will be available on Monday September 21 10:00 MST. All questions should go through Jason Grove 801 775 2371. Site Visit notes: Questions/Clarifications Bldg 295 Hoist installation Monday, September 21, 2009 - Footing need to be 20' apart. - Get with SCI about footings, measured, marked for placement - This needs to be an traveling pendenant control A&B - The floor thickness cannot be found due to age of building. Company will not have to install footing, just identify where they need to be. - These must be free standing columns. i.e. no kickers or stability beams coming off of them. The provisions at FAR reference 52.212-1,2,3,4,5 applies to this acquisition. **MUST BE CCR REGISTERED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARD**
