- Description
- The following work will be performed at the Urbana Federal Building, 201 S. Vine Street, Urbana, IL 61802. This contract includes but is not limited to: replacement of existing air-cooled chiller with new water-cooled chiller; replacement of existing Building Automation System with new Energy Management System; provision and installation of new Variable Frequency Drives for water distribution and air handling units; replacement of existing domestic hot water heaters; replacement of motors where indicated; caulking of existing windows; new rain sensor irrigation control; light fixture replacement where indicated; Low Flow plumbing fixture replacement where indicated; provision and installation of occupancy sensor lighting control where indicated; removal of existing drywall skylight shading feature with new fabric canopy; and replacement of existing RTU’s with new RTU’s. This is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) project that involves the Building Systems, the Lighting & the Building tune-up. The estimated cost range for all work is between $800,000.00 and $1,200,000.00. This procurement is open to all business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 238220 with a size standard of $14 million. This is a negotiated procurement; there will NOT be a public bid opening. The solicitation will be available on or about October 2, 2009. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the FedBizOpps (FBO). FedBizOpps is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. In order to obtain information from FedBizOpps, you will first be required to register with CCR (Central Contractor’s Registration) database. You may access CCR at the following URL, www.bpn.gov. Once you register with CCR you will be required to register with FedBizOpps. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedBizOpps via the following URL, http://www.fbo.gov. Also, beginning January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors were required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission. You may access ORCA via the following URL, www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be November 3 at 3:00 PM (Eastern Time).
