- Title: Site Preparation/ Demolition for Future Commissary Construction at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. The main elements of the site work/demolition in the foot print of the proposed Commissary includes: excavating approximately 65,000 square feet of asphalt, removal of abandoned railroad tracks, removal and relocation of deficient utilities. This includes removal and relocation of existing copper and fiber optic communications lines and duct banks; removal and relocation of existing electrical lines and duct banks; and removal and relocation of existing steam lines/steam trenches including asbestos containing material.
