Description
OFDA Earthquake Supplies This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335931 - Current-Carrying Wiring Device Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. USAID intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order as a result of this RFQ. Issuance of this solicitation does not constitute an award commitment on the part of the Government, nor does it commit the Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of a proposal. Authorized Geographic Code: The Authorized Geographic Code for this procurement is 935 – Any area or country including the cooperating country, but excluding the foreign policy restricted areas. Marking Requirements: Marking shall be in accordance with AIDAR 752.7009, Marking (JAN 1993), http://www.usaid.gov/policy/ads/300/aidar.pdf. Marking shall also comply with the USAID “Graphic Standards Manual” available at www.usaid.gov/branding. Technical Requirements/Specifications: The capacity of the United States’ Government (USG) to quickly respond to international emergencies is dependent on having access to the requested commodities and equipment in a timely manner. To accomplish this, USAID/OFDA maintains stockpiles of commonly requested materials. There is a need to enhance the stockpile levels with the Earthquake Supplies set forth below.
