- NSN 6130-01-487-7028, Part Number 17-1-5791, The item to procure is a 2.0 KW DC/AC INVERTER WHICH WILL BE THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF AC POWER TO SELECTED LOADS WHEN POWERED FROM A VEHICULAR 28 VDC BATTERY/ALTERNATOR SYSTEM; THE INPUT TO THE INVERTER WILL RANGE FROM 22 TO 29 VOC UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. THE UNIT SHALL BE CAPABLE OF PROVIDING A MINIMUM OF 2.0 KVA OF ELECTRICAL POWER OF A NOMINAL 120 VAC, 60 HZ, AND PROTECT ITSELF FROM DAMAGE DUE TO SHORT CIRCUITS, LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE AND REVERSALS, OTHER TRANSIENT CONDITIONS. Requirements are = 50 EACH, INVERTER, POWER, STAT. THE INVERTER IS SOLE SOURCE TO ENGINEERED AIR SYSTEMS, INC. DBA DRS SUSTAINMENT SYSTEMS, INC. OFFERS FROM OTHE CONCERNS ARE NOT SOLICITED. ITEM IS SOURCE CONTROLLED TO ENGINEERED AIR SYSTEMS, INC. THERE IS NO COMPETITIVE TDP. FOB is DESTINATION. For use on the CBPS. Estimated issue date is 2 NOVEMBER 2009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto.
