- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Science on a Sphere Hardware andAccessories which was posted on September 4, 2009. You are notified that the followingchanges are made: Issue of solicitation for RFQs.This notice is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the formatin FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued.This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for computer hardware andaccessories to operate Science on a Sphere (see attachment for items details). Quotebased on the brand name and part numbers provided in the attachment.The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-36.This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 334111 and1,000 respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for thisprocurement.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.Delivery to Transportation Officer, NASA; Warehouse, Building M6-744; Kennedy SpaceCenter, FL 32899 is required within 30 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination.Offers for the items(s) described in the attachment are due by 12:00pm, Wednesday,September 23, 2009 to Donny Wood, donald.wood@nasa.gov and must include, solicitationnumber, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/paymentterms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN),identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized companyrepresentative. In addition, proof of a current CCR registration is requested. Offerorsare encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for CommercialItems form found at URL:http://server-mpo.arc.nasa.gov/Services/NEFS/NEFSHome.tmlOfferors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (JUNE 2008), Instructionsto Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporated by reference.
