- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources soughtsynopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge ofpotential qualified sources and their size classification (servicedisabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hubzone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, orlarge business) relative to NACIS 325413 (size standard of 500employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government tomake appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this sources soughtsynopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitationannouncement. All interested offerors will have to respond to thesolicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sourcessought announcement. The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center isseeking sources that can provide a NucliSens easy Mag System. The goalis to provide an excellent tool used in HCV genotype testing. The vendormust also provide a service and maintenance agreement which will includemaking adjustments, repairs, and replacing any malfunctioning equipment.The agreement will also include answering to service calls, andproviding startup and training for the VA staff. Response to thisnotice should include a capability statement, and three (3) customerreferences to which you have provided similar services for. Responsesshould also include company name, address, point of contact, size ofbusiness pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is this product orservice available under a federal supply schedule (GSA)? If yes, pleaseprovide the contract number. (2) Do you manufacture or directly providethese services? If teaming please provide a copy of your teamingagreement. If subcontracting please include the name of thesubcontractor. (3) Is your business large or small? (4) If small, doesyour firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantagedbusiness? (5) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged groupand if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small BusinessAct. (6) Is your firm a certified hub zone firm? (7) Is your firm awoman-owned or operated business? (8) Is your firm a certifiedService-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or veteran owned small business?Responses to this notice shall be emailed to Roman Savino atroman.savino@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responsesmust be received in writing no later than 12:00 PM on Sept 24; 2009.Thisnotice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitationis not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will beannounced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond tothat solicitation announcement separately from the responses to thisannouncement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to beadded to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of thesolicitation.
