- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood the FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to enter into a cost plus fixed-fee contract on a sole source basis with BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc., 1601 Research Blvd., Rockville, MD 20850-3173 for specialized technical, logistical and engineering support related to minor, medium and major caliber Naval Surface Gun Weapons Systems (GWS), including interfaces and the application of advanced technologies. BAE is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the medium and major caliber Naval Gun Systems; and the sole U.S. licensed producer of the 76mm Mk 75 designed by OTO Melara of Italy and 57mm MK 110 designed by Bofors. BAE is also the sole producer of the 25mm MK 38 MOD 2 minor caliber gun systems and varients. The period of performance is Date of Award through 5 years. The anticipated labor efforts will be 31,200 hours (includes all option periods). The NAICS Code is : 541330, F.O.B. Destination to Dahlgren, VA shall apply.
