Description
Sole Source Justification and Approval Notice of intent to award a sole source requirement to NCR Government Systems, LLC for a full service maintenance agreement for NCR 7167 receipt printers. NCR is the successful GSA contract holder bidder to provide full service maintenance on the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) cash collection system at the multiple ports and points of entry. Maintenance/Service agreements for all of the equipment for the cash collection system is offered under the NCR GSA Contract except the NCR 7167 receipt printer. It is required that the entire cash collection system receive maintenance and service from one source. It is the government’s intent to award this open market portion of the system as a sole source award to NCR. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to be used for consideration of future requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and an RFQ will not be issued, however, all proposals received by the closing date and time will be reviewed and used for future requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any vendor who wishes to submit a proposal for future consideration should email their company's capabilities information to the attention of Robert Sieferman no later than 12:00 noon EDST, September 22, 2009 at robert.sieferman@dhs.gov. Only email responses will be accepted.
